    Over the years we have moved around a little and bought and sold a number of properties in Napier and in Auckland.

    In November we decided to put our Epsom bungalow conversion (45a Pah Road, Epsom) on the market, and chose to list with Cheryl Crane.

    It is with pleasure that we write this letter of testimony for André Coppell and Cheryl Crane whom recently sold our home.

    We had signed up to market with another major real estate company and had spent several thousand dollars on advertising. We did not get a result at all and felt we had wasted our time and money. After that experience we did not feel confident in using another agent so when down the track of selling it ourselves. We had a good number of inspections but no results once again. It was now getting disappointing.

    We listed our Kingsland property with Harcourt’s Agents Andre Coppell and Cheryl Crane who work as a team, in November 2011.  Together we worked on a marketing plan based around the joint decision to auction our property, in the January/February period, culminating in a very successful Auction result, with our property selling well above our set reserve.

    The service we received from Andre and Cheryl was exceptional! They are truly a high-caliber team. Their knowledge of the local market and their ability to manage prospective buyers, was fantastic.  They kept us well informed throughout the campaign, with quality reporting detailing the numbers of interested parties, along with potential buyer’s important comments and feedback.

    An important element for me was the rapport that I had from the early stages of making the decision to sign a sole agency to Andre and Cheryl through to the auction.  As many home sellers can attest often real estate agents can make a fuss of you and your property; promising you the earth price wise…until you sign the sole agency…then the property gets talked down.  To our delight, this was not the case!  We found the Team work of Andre and Cheryl to be honest, sincere, and their appraisal and comments to be realistic.

    As I prepared the house for market.  I found Andre to be confident, but not pushy, fun but not frivolous, and most importantly a good reader of people.  While Andre was “pitching” to market this property, I learned he had a very good sales record, based on years of experience and the ability to successfully gage potential buyers level of interest and, in my opinion Andre has an uncanny knack for knowing just how far a buyer is willing to go, to gain a new property.  Added to these qualities, Andre is an experienced auctioneer and we were keen to have his passion for our property communicated through the auction process.  As mentioned above we were not disappointed!!

    In closing I would not hesitate to recommend Andre and Cheryl to help you in this life changing move.  Also we found the Harcourts office, with their global reach and local savvy to be professional and helpful, helping us with a great price for our advertising campaign and the other pre-auction details.
